The conference revolved around the theme of “TESLA TRANSCENDING SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION” attracting many experts, pioneers, and environmental advocates. Ir. Ahmad Hadri Haris, Head of Public Policy and Business Development at Tesla, delivered a captivating keynote, sharing Tesla's cutting-edge strategies and achievements in promoting the transition to sustainable energy. Additionally, CEO of Greenbuildingindex Sdn. Bhd, Ar. Sarly Adre Sarkum, was present to explain the critical role of green buildings in achieving a sustainable future.

Decarbonisation of Data Centres in the Tropics

One of the highlights of the conference was the speech by Professor Lee Poh Seng from the National University of Singapore (NUS), titled “Decarbonisation of Data Centres in the Tropics.” Professor Lee Poh Seng pointed out that with the accelerating pace of global digital transformation, data centres, as key infrastructure in the information age, face significant challenges due to their high energy consumption and carbon emissions. Finding sustainable solutions has become increasingly urgent.

Data centres in tropical regions, such as Singapore and neighboring countries, are grappling with rising Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) due to high temperatures and humidity, as well as the high costs of traditional cooling systems. These energy consumption and carbon emission issues have become major bottlenecks to the sustainable development of data centers. In response to these challenges, Professor Lee Poh Seng introduced solutions for sustainable tropical data centres. These solutions include the adoption of Liquid Cooling Systems and EK-AIoT Energy Optimization Platform, which can significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, driving the green transformation of data centres in tropical regions.

Specifically, Liquid Cooling Systems offer the advantages of low energy consumption, high heat dissipation, sustainability, ease of deployment, and scalability, making them viable Solutions for Sustainable Tropical Data Centres. Meanwhile, the EK-AIoT Energy Optimization Platform enables refined energy management, digitalized energy efficiency optimization, and operational management, further enhancing energy efficiency. The energy-saving potential of these solutions has already been validated through real-world projects.
