EUROKLIMAT Sponsors Green Building Index Event 2024 to Discuss Chiller Optimization and Energy Efficiency
On September 18th, GREEN BUILDING INDEX EVENT 2024, sponsored by EUROKLIMAT, successfully took place at Meeting Rooms 408 & 409, Level 4, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The seminar, titled "The Myth of Chiller Plant Room Efficiency: Integration with Building Automation System (BAS) Relating to Building Energy Intensity", featured keynote speakers GBl Commissioning Specialist IR. PS SOONG, EUROKLIMAT Asia-Pacific Technical Director Zhuang Yin, and EUROKLIMAT Asia-Pacific Smart Cloud Division Senior Manager Li Youliang, who discussed chiller optimization and energy efficiency improvements.
During the seminar, Zhuang Yin, the Technical Director for EUROKLIMAT Asia-Pacific, delivered a presentation titled "The Core Concepts and Control Logic of an Efficient Chiller Plant Room", where he elaborated on EUROKLIMAT’s innovative concepts in efficient chiller plant room systems.
Mr. Zhuang emphasized that creating an efficient chiller plant room is a key factor in enhancing building energy efficiency. He introduced EUROKLIMAT’s High-Efficiency AIoT Distributed Cooling Station, an integrated high-efficiency energy-saving product designed for public buildings and industrial cooling. This system ensures stable and efficient cooling throughout the year in environments above -11°C, with a chiller system efficiency (EERao) as high as 6.0, providing a one-stop solution for high-efficiency plant rooms. He also analyzed the limitations of traditional centralized energy stations, such as oversized systems, secondary pump systems that result in higher transport losses, and poor hydraulic balance. In contrast, the High-Efficiency AIoT Distributed Cooling Station offers advantages like localized zoning, smaller systems, precise delivery, minimal transport losses, the ability to provide different water temperatures based on function, humidity and temperature control, factory-standardized quality assurance, AI-driven management, intelligent operations, and full lifecycle monitoring.
Additionally, Li Youliang, Senior Manager of EUROKLIMAT Asia-Pacific Smart Cloud Division, introduced the EK-AIoT Digital Intelligent Energy-Saving Solution, a self-developed platform by EUROKLIMAT that integrates AI algorithms, digital twin technology, IoT, and mobile Internet. This platform is deeply embedded in environmental control and industrial application scenarios, enabling remote control and monitoring through computers and smartphones. It also allows for intelligent machine dispatch and operational optimization via load forecasting and AI algorithms, realizing fully unattended operation and intelligent management of integrated chiller plants, bringing energy savings, high efficiency, and streamlined operations all in one.
